Will it be drink related, or some active antics in the garden?

 cocktail classes

There's all sorts of fun to be had with pals watching the sports, at home or at a bar.

Here are a few ideas for livening up your games experience (outdoors and indoors)

Everyone dresses up in sports gear to watch the games

long jump

Outdoor ideas

  • Set up a standing long jump (no run up) in your garden & have a competition

  • if you've got a bigger garden, set up series of fitness challenges to test everyone and tally up the winners, such as

    •  how many press ups can you manage in 1 minute?

    • how long can you hold the plank position?

    • Dizzy bat spin challenge

Indoor ideas while watching the games

  • (Drinking game) Take a drink whenever a commentator says "unbelievable"

  • Set up rules and have dare cards for those that don't stick to them.  Rules like,

    • no drinking with your right hand (left hand is ok),

    • no pointing with your fingers (elbows and feet are ok)

    • no using real names, nicknames only throughout the games (or revert to shouting “Hey you!!” till they pay attention

    drinking games

(Drinking game) beer pong.  You’ll need a ping pong ball and a about 20 cups. Each player gets 10 cups filled (however full up you want) with beer (or a juicy cocktail if you prefer) set the 10 cups in front of you at opposite ends from your opponent, and the challenge is to bounce or throw the ball across the table to land in your opponents cup. If it does, they need to drink what’s in that cup. It gets harder the better your opponent is, but great fun.

There’s plenty more ways to enjoy the summer and the games, so if you’ve got a good game (drinking or non-drinking) that you’ll be doing, let us know and we can spread the word.

However you celebrate the games, have fun, and if you want…
